Why I Started This Blog
I want to welcome you all to Penned Simplicity. My name is Stacy, and I am an empty Nester. Now that the kids are grown, I find myself flailing around with no direction. I decided to create this blog to discuss random things that I often have on my mind. As a creative person, I am always full of ideas, some of which are good while others are not. I am also a published poet, content creator, book reader, and reviewer, and I create beautiful beadwork with tiny seed beads.
There Is Something Here For Everyone
Although I am overflowing with ideas, I want to maintain some order on my blog. I don’t want to have chaos, and then no one would be able to enjoy my musings. I also would like to share my story as we get to know each other better. I have left the comment fields open just for that purpose. I would like to share things that anyone can enjoy, including arts and crafts, books I’ve read and liked, recipes, and anything that helps improve a person’s mental state. You will learn more about why I would like to share these things as you get to know me through my writings and articles that I share on this blog.
Rekindled Pages
If you’re into literature, such as reading books, writing poetry, reviewing books, or simply finding like-minded individuals, then I highly recommend checking out my other blog, Rekindled Pages. I am a book reader and have been since I was little. I started doing book reviews about 12 years ago when I joined an author’s street team. I don’t get paid to review books, but in most cases, I do end up with a free book in exchange for an honest review. I also have a community forum on Rekindled Pages where you can meet other like-minded literary folks.

I want to be upfront and honest about the affiliate links and recommendations that I link to on this site. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. Some of my blog articles will include affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission if you click a link and purchase a product I have recommended. I am also an affiliate with Love Marketing Team and some other companies. I may also include ads on my site, but not at this time. Nothing turns me off more than trying to read a blog article and ads keep popping up when you’re trying to read. I will not do that to my site. If I run an ad, it will be strategically placed and will not pop up while you’re trying to read a post.
